What we do
Founded in 2016, Rackets Cubed is a registered UK charity that delivers integrated STEM education, rackets sports and nutrition programmes. We work with Key-Stage 2 children in underserved areas. We currently support over 750 children per week across the UK. Each programme can have up to 30 children participating. We target Key Stage 2 children in underserved areas where there is a need to enhance the mental well-being and health of children.
What does a Rackets Cubed Programme involve?
- 1 hour of STEM learning delivered by a qualified teacher.
- 1 hour of racket sports coaching delivered by a qualified racket sports coach.
- A nutritious hot meal provided by an on-site or off-site catering provider.
Programmes are run at local host sites, usually within walking distance from the school. We find children are motivated to learn and engage when they are in a new and inspirational environment. Our annual impact assessments have shown improved mental well-being and physical literacy scores. Children who take part have also been shown to be happier and more confident. We work with leading educational, funding, hosting and sporting partners to establish sustainable programmes nationwide. We also work closely with local authorities to help target areas in need.
