What we do
We deliver integrated after-school sessions for children in underserved areas. Each programme consists of 1 hour STEM education, 1 hour racket sports and a healthy meal. We aim to enhance the achievement of children and make them happier, healthier and more confident.
How it works
PARTICIPANTS
Each programme can have up to 30 children participating. We target Key Stage 2 children in underserved areas where there is a need to enhance the mental well-being and health of the children.
ACTIVITIES
Each weekly, term time session includes 1 hour of STEM education (run by the school teacher), 1 hour of racket sports coaching, all rounded off with a nutritious meal.
RESOURCES
We provide all of our partner schools with a STEM activity booklet that we have developed to provide teachers with a range of different activities that encourage active participation, fun and confidence in their students.
VENUES
Programmes are run at local host sites, usually within walking distance from the school. We find children are motivated to learn and engage when they are in a new and inspirational environment.
IMPACT
Our annual impact assessments have shown improved mental well-being and physical literacy scores. Children who take part have also been shown to be happier and more confident.
PARTNERS
We work with leading educational, funding, hosting and sporting partners to establish sustainable programmes nationwide. We also work closely with local authorities to help target areas in need.

Raising academic achievement – Helping to develop sporting skills / talents – Improving health and fitness
Providing the same life opportunities to all children – Enhancing education on nutrition, food choices and exercise – Giving weekly structure to young lives.
