Incoming Wandsworth Mayor, Sana Jaffri, has chosen to support Rackets Cubed as one of Wandsworth Mayor’s charity of the year 2024/25.
Along with Rackets Cubed, Homestart Wandsworth and Tooting Community Kitchen were also chosen to support their incredible work in Wandsworth
We would like to congratulate both charities and look forward to working with them throughout this year. We would also like to congratulate Sana Jaffri on her new position and thank her for choosing us as one of her charities of the year! We are excited to work together in serving and supporting our local community.
Nikki Rossner, Rackets Cubed CEO, attended the mayoral inauguration evening where there was live music from local schools, food and the mayor’s inaugural procession. She described her excitement at being named one of the charities of the year “We are honoured to receive this award. We have worked closely with Wandsworth council since the founding of Rackets Cubed and have always appreciated the funding and support they have given us. We are delighted to be working even more closely together and helping the Mayor fundraise this year”
During the course of the year the Wandsworth Mayor will regularly hold events to raise money for her chosen charities. You can find more information about the chosen charities here. If you would like to make a donation to Rackets Cubed please see the button at the top of this page. Alternatively, you can follow the link here and donate through the Wandsworth website.
Looking ahead, there are plans in place to expand The Roehampton Community Box programme and establish a new social supermarket to another location in the borough. This will provide much needed support to local residents and families facing challenging times as the cost of living crisis continues to keep food and grocery prices high.
