As we roll into another academic year – with a new cohort of 700 Racket Cubed students into week 3 of this year’s core programme it is good to remind ourselves what we are about.
Rackets Cubed enhances the achievement of children – Improving their mental wellbeing whilst having FUN, making them happier, healthier and more confident children.
This is being seen in all our impact work which we are sharing with you today.
100% of our partner teachers said the children were more confident after participating in our programme. But we also know this in our hearts – a well fed child who has enjoyed activity has more opportunity to thrive going forward.
We are passionate about getting food out to our communities – both through the nutritional element of our programmes and through our community hubs and boxes.
We are supporting 1000 families per week and that figure would be more if we had more to give.
With around 4 million children in the UK living with food insecurity in 2024 it means we need to keep developing what we can deliver.
We have had the opening of our 2nd community hub in Wandsworth – Yvonne Carr in Battersea- last week. This has been a long term goal and it was great. We really believe in being a partner with our community- as we are stronger together.
Last year was busy – this year is looking even more so.
