We are delighted to announce the award of a £150,000 3 year Reaching Communities Grant from the National Lottery.
This Grant will allow us to continue our successful Community programmes such as Community Box and develop our Rackets Cubed sport, education and activity programmes in Wandsworth, with a primary focus on Roehampton.
Community Box Programmes; We are providing essential Food, Personal Hygiene, Activity and Educational supplies “Community Boxes” to approximately 150 young families (up to about 1000 people) in the borough. We will look to evolve this depending on the community needs.
Integrated Activity Programmes; We plan to run up to 10 integrated after-school racket sports, (STEM) education and nutrition activities for lower income young children (age 7 to 11) hosted in aspirational settings . Each program delivers one after-school session per school week to the same group of 25 to 30 children.
